This notice is accurate about what the portal collects and how long it keeps it. Two details are still being confirmed with SustainED Leaders: the named person who handles deletion requests, and the address to send them to. Until then, use the contact form at the bottom of any page and your request will reach the right people.
Privacy
What this portal stores, why it stores it, how long it keeps it, and how to have it removed. Last reviewed 8 August 2026.
What we do not collect
No student data of any kind. The portal is used by educators. It holds no pupil names, no grades, no attendance, and no work. Nothing here falls under FERPA or COPPA.
We do not store your Google profile photo, we do not use advertising or analytics cookies, and no page loads scripts, fonts, or images from anyone else. Your browser talks to this site and, when you open a lesson deck, to Google Slides. Nothing else.
What we collect
If you sign in, we store your name and email address so the portal knows who you are, and a record of which lessons you open and when. That record is what tells SustainED Leaders which parts of the curriculum are being used.
If you visit without signing in, we set one first-party cookie holding a random identifier so the same browser is not counted twice. It carries no name, no email, and no record of which pages you viewed. We do not store your IP address or your browser's user agent.
If you use the contact form, we store the name, email address, phone number, school district, and message you enter, so that someone can reply to you.
How long we keep it

Older records are deleted automatically every night, not on request and not by hand.
Who else sees it
Nothing about how teachers use the portal is shared with anyone. Your lesson history, your account, and the visit counts never leave this server.
Two things do leave, and both relate to messages:
- Contact form enquiries are emailed to SustainED Leaders through Resend, an email provider, and copied into a spreadsheet in SustainED Leaders' own Google Drive.
- Sign-in links, if you sign in by email rather than with Google, are sent through Resend. The message contains your address and a link, nothing else.
Neither provider uses the contents for their own purposes. We do not sell anything to anyone, and there is nothing here to sell.
Having your information removed
You can ask us to delete everything we hold about you. We will confirm within 30 days.
Address not yet published
A dedicated address is being set up. It will appear here in place of privacy@to-be-confirmed.invalid, which is not a working address and will not reach anyone. Until it is live, please use the contact form at the bottom of any page and write "deletion request" in your message.
One thing worth being straight about: if you sent us a message through the contact form, a copy also sits in an email inbox and in a spreadsheet. We will remove those too, but that part is done by a person rather than automatically, which is why we ask for 30 days rather than promising it is instant.
